Born under the bright lights of Lynchburg’s Hill City Pride in August 2023, The Chapstix started as four friends with great taste in music and a dangerous amount of talent. Moments after their very first show, they were immediately booked for two more—and they've been on a roll ever since.

Known for their electric energy, wide-ranging setlists (think Stevie Nicks to Salt N Pepa to Pink Pony Club), and a commitment to creating inclusive, feel-good spaces, The Chapstix turn every show into a celebration. Whether you're a die-hard music fan or just in it for the vibes, you’ll find your place on the dance floor. This band doesn’t just cover hits—they revive them, reimagine them, and make for an vivacious music experience.

About Us

Meet the Band

  • Tristin Burke

    LEAD SINGER / LEAD GUITARIST

Tristin was born and raised in Nashvile, TN. Spending her first 10+ years after high school working in the music industry as both a singer/songwriter and a sound engineer, before heading to Virginia to pursue a degree in education.

Now living in Lynchburg with her family, Tristin works as a middle school social studies teacher when she’s not rocking the stage with some of her best buds!

  • Kelli Coleman

    Kelli Coleman

    LEAD BASSIST / TROMBONE

Kelli likes to play bass, but has her bachelors in classical trombone performance from University of North Texas. She also studied symphonic conducting and once conducted the West Virginia Symphany orchestra.

Kelli has a badass wife and is a stepparent to a child who mainly communicates via rolling eyes and emotive shrugs. Fun fact: Kelli once ran 100 miles from Tahoe California to Auburn for a belt buckle. She loves mothman and drives a motorcycle.

    DRUMS

Kristin “KK” comes to us from Illinois as a theater/jazz/marching band lover. She once toured across Europe for a month with a US ensemble group and later spent a decade playing with a classic rock band.

She loves bringing fun and energy behind the drums. Fun fact: Before moving to VA with her wife and son, she used to own a couple CrossFit gyms, which is why she can act a little like Animal from the muppet babies when playing.

  • Kathleen Davis

    BACK UP VOCALS / TAMBOURINE

Kathleen is a lifelong entertainer who loves the stage. She’s been doing stand up since 2012 and has never meet a stranger. History is her thing and if you talk with her for more than ten minutes, she will probably tell you a story.

She’s excited about this new challenge of singing back up and learning the keyboard while getting to rock out on her tambo!
